Late in the second quarter, Josh Allen drove the Bills down to the red zone capping off the drive with a signature touchdown to Diggs.
The Jets got the ball back with about 4 minutes left in the half with the opportunity to answer. 2nd and 8 the Jets call on newly acquired RB Dalvin Cook. This is when Becton decided to take the game into his own hands.
Jets TE comes crashing down the line of scrimmage, big number 77 gets to pull and work in the open field. Becton pancakes not one, but 2 Bills defenders, springing Cook for the first down and more.
Since being drafted number 10 overall in the 2020 NFL Draft, Becton has been dealing with injuries left and right playing only 15 games since entering the NFL. Becton missed the majority of the 2021 season, and all the 2022 season. In the moment the Jets needed him more than ever, he sprung up and made the most of his opportunity. We love to see the big men succeed after facing such adversity.
