TNF: NFC West Matchup 49ers @ Seahawks

Best Pick: Seahawks +3

This may be the best Thursday Night Football game we see this season. The Seahawks having to cover only 3 points is so crazy that we have to take Seattle in this spot. Throw out the record books when these two teams play! Everything has been trending 49ers direction aside from Deebo’s injury… which is still falling San Fran’s way with Deebo narrowly dodging a season ending injury. Brock Purdy looked like Tom Brady last week, meanwhile Seattle was roasted at home against the Panthers. The number originally opened up at Seattle +3.5.

Fun facts about tonight’s matchup: Seattle is 12-2 ATS against San Fran since 2009 & San Fran is 1-10 in their last 11 games at Seattle.

Geno Smith and the explosive Seahawks offense are looking to get back at the 49ers tonight at Lumen Field.

The 49ers are coming into this matchup riding a 6 game winning streak straight up, and a 4 game winning streak ATS. After the Tampa Bay game, Brock Purdy found himself on the injury list, but he’s expected to suit up and get the start against Seattle tonight. Unfortunately for the 49ers they’ll be without star wide out/ running back/ slot receiver/ kick returner/ punt returner Deebo Samuel.

Last week against the Bucs, Purdy looked like an all pro. We all know the outcomes of Brady vs. a rookie QB heavily favors Brady, but Purdy and the 9ers made the Brady and the Bucs look like they don’t belong on the same field together. Not to mention the 49ers defense has been absolutely lights out all season long. So why are the 49ers only laying 3 against Seattle?

Seattle is coming off a demoralizing loss at home against the Panthers. That should be chalked up to a lookahead by the Seahawks. Seattle always gets up against the 49ers when the game is on Seattle’s turf. The Seahawks are getting the talented rookie Kenneth Walker III back in the lineup tonight, and they will need all hands on deck against the 9ers defense. Tyler Lockett has been on fire recently, recording at least 1 TD in each of the last 6 games. Only 3 players in the past 10 seasons have recorded 1 or more TD catches in 7 straight games. Devante Adams, Antonio Brown, and Allen Hurns. Seattle will try to establish a run to relieve some pressure off Geno Smith and give him time to let it rip. If the Seahawks can manage a solid rushing attack, this game will go down to the wire.
