6th Man Saturdays

The 6th man is back in the game this Saturday.  We went 6-2-1 in our opening day last Saturday.  Let’s have another winning weekend.

Again, all odds given via BetMGM

76ers @ Brooklyn Nets: 76ers -1.5

This matchup I’m going to take the 76ers.  While both teams are pretty average against the spread, the Nets are in shambles.  Days after trading away Kyrie and KD, it would be so poetic to have Harden return to the Barclays Center and put a dagger in the Nets by dropping 30+.  The Nets have covered 9 of their last 11 games, 6ers have covered in 7 of their last 11.  Trends are pointing towards the Nets, but the team will be completely different on Saturday compared to what they have been.

Heat @ Magic: Magic +1.5

Orlando has been on fire this season against the spread boasting a 32-23-1 record.  They’ve been holding steady in their last 10 being 7-3 and 3-2 in their last 5.  Compare that to Miami’s 2-8 record in their last 10, and 1-4 record in their last 5.  The Magic have been covering more games at home than away, while the Heat have struggled to cover the spread on the road.  Take the Magic and hold on tight.

Spurs @ Hawks: Hawks -13.5

14 is a big number for the Hawks to cover here, but the Spurs have been bad this season. The Spurs have failed to cover in their last 10 games. 5 of which they lost by 14 points or more.  While the Hawks aren’t doing spectacular this season, ride the Spurs losing streak as long as you can.

Under Bulls @ Cavs 220.5

Unders have hit 8 of the last 11 Cavs games, and 9 of the last 11 Bulls games.  These teams are tight defensively.  Throughout the season, the Bulls road unders have hit 15 times and the Cavs home unders have hit 15 times.  Everything in this game points toward the under.

Over Lakers @ Warriors 238.5

Both teams here have a winning record towards the over. Lakers are 30-26 (over-under) while the Warriors are 33-20-2 (over-under-push).  Golden State is coming into this matchup with the over hitting in all of their last 4, and 6 of their last 7.  Follow the numbers.
