Can the Mariners take a step up from last season and make the 2023 World Series?

After ending their 20 year playoff drought last season, watch for the Mariners to rise up out of the AL West. The AL West housing the Angels, Astros, and Rangers is no joke. If this young Seattle team can rise to the top of the West, it would do incredible things for their confidence rolling into the playoffs. Especially if this pitching staff can pitch to their full potential. The Mariners are returning their starting 5 rotation from last year, and may be the best in the West.

Let’s say Seattle makes it to the playoffs either as the West winner, or wild card. Could their expectations really be World Series?

If the Mariners win the West, it will be the perfect recipe for a World Series champion. They’ll be a young, confident, talented, hungry team with little to no expectations set on them to succeed. I expect Julio Rodriguez to make strides this season both as a player and a leader. Seattle has the franchise talent, now it’s time to do franchise things.
