Panthers Stomp out Tom Brady and the Buccaneers

The Buccaneers offensive woes continue through week 7 against the Carolina Panthers. Buccaneers fail to cover, and lose outright 2 straight games on the road, scoring just 21 points in those two games.

Just 71 seconds into the game, Tampa Bays wide receiver Mike Evans dropped what would have been a wide open 75 yard touchdown pass from Tom Brady. What could’ve been a turning point for this struggling Buccaneers offense effectively took the life out of Tampa Bay’s offense for the next 3 quarters. The Buccaneers failed to get into scoring position until the fourth quarter where Ryan Succop knocked a kick through the uprights.

Bucs Lifeless Offense

For another week, the Tampa Bay offense looked stiff. Coming off of an ugly 20-18 loss against the Pittsburgh Steelers, it seemed as though Tampa Bay would catch a deflated Carolina Panthers team with an interim head coach and fresh off trading away their star player. The committee of D’Onta Foreman and Chuba Hubbard were able to gash the Tampa Bay defense for 198 yards on the ground, 37 yards through the air, and a touchdown. The last time the Tampa Bay Buccaneers scored a TD came in a Week 5 win against the Atlanta Falcons.

The Buccaneers schedule isn’t doing them many favors. The Bucs are hosting the Baltimore Ravens and the LA Rams respectively before traveling to Munich to face off against the Seattle Seahawks
