CFB Playoff Rankings

With the College Football season coming to an end ***sheds tear*** we need to check out and break down the top teams.

The top 4 in the most updated CFP rankings are right on point. Georgia, Ohio State, Michigan, and TCU are the best 4 teams in college football right now, and they’re the best in that order.

Keeping Tennessee at 5 leaves them in a really good position to get into the playoff. Unless OSU/Mich is an instant classic, either of them fall out of the top 4. TCU has to get through Baylor, Iowa St, and then the Big 12 championship. OSU, Mich, and TCU all have a very difficult path to the playoff.

How in the world is LSU at 6 above USC? USC has a much better resume than LSU. USC’s one loss was a 1 point loss against 10th ranked Utah, in Utah, at night. I’d love to see LSU go into Utah at night and try to play a football game. Admittedly, USC does have to get some more wins over ranked teams. Luckily for them, USC’s next two games is against 16th ranked UCLA and 18th ranked Notre Dame. If USC can run the table, and win the PAC 12 championship, Riley and the boys have a very nice resume going into the playoff. Luckily for USC, if they match up against Utah it won’t be at Utah.

Do you all remember when LSU dropped an early game to Florida State? I remember. Do you all remember when Jayden Daniels looked like the same QB he was back at ASU? Yeah I remember that, too. How about when Tennessee came into Tiger Stadium, and handed LSU a huge loss? Yeah. So again, how is LSU ranked above USC?

LSU has a pretty tough schedule coming up with UAB, Texas A&M, and then UGA for the SEC title. If LSU is able to go 3-0 in their last 3, I will eat my words and they will absolutely deserve to be in the playoff.
